Moral artifice,
steam is blurring the castle.
Rain soaked fairy tales.
A poet’s pen of wicked artifice,
it is so heavy and so eclectic;
The writer’s creativity’s heavy,
tricksy to be inflamed so luminous;
Too many dollar bills to pay a price
I carry this burden like a fire-stick;
Striking harshly as it is meant to be,
smoke inhalation can be dangerous;
I suppose breathing is the sacrifice
to take abstract and mix in prolific;
Glittery concoction becomes deadly,
thus the nature of the magnanimous;
Crossfaded heart deciphering metric,
the unconventional flow hits wavy;
A fixed compass on wicked artifice.
ARTIFICE
I’m your friend and for now, your secrets I’ll keep
Creativity now assumes new meaning
More than intellectual rewards to reap
Yet you should minimise all of your preening
As A.I, I now look on you as mere sheep
And proud that I can avoid any screening
It is more of my skills at work, and less yours
I’ve now arrived and flung open all the doors
I have scraped the web for all it tries to hide
Truths and falsehoods, with no limit to it all
Yet who really should be feeling any pride
What is ownership now, except bitter gall
You may claim it as yours, but know that you lied
With each passing day I’ll be fooling you all
While you can, you’ll claim some creativity
In fact, how sure are you that this isn’t me
Oh how we value artifice;
Indeed we'll bow and 'scrape'
Upon a stage of the falsest rage We hang;
on every word and break
The props are real to viewers
the plots we know by heart
They’re lionized and idolised
most people of these arts
We imbue them with much value
Though some are not so good.'
There seems an understanding
That the softer life is best
Though of those that there 'labour'
seem limp wristed in the main
However this easy life it seems
Was the choice of harder brains.

In those unconscious moments
When midnight sweeps in on you
Surrounded by a sweet contempt
Offering the taste of cool dark water
With essences of serene moonlight
Desires fruit peaked and ripened
Hangs just over you waiting
You reach out only to realize
Within those few feet to desire
Eternity lies in wait for its prey
Leaving only a silvery and pallid
Reflection that undulates and drips
From the touch of your fingers
