An argumentative person,
She spins nuanced thoughts for hours,
With an underappreciated approach,
Her resentful nature keeps her afar.
Agitation becomes her greatest foe,
Disrupting cycles, not just her own.
A hyperactive mind racing without pause,
Aloof and distant, fearing the spotlight on her flaws.

The Curse Of Dementia
Miracle Man
2/13/2025
I awake to chatter that makes little sense,
stress is overwhelming, dementia’s expense.
Nary a time have I stood and yelled encore,
because days are reruns from the day before.
For the pain endured daily she has no feel?
If only I knew what her thoughts could reveal.
Dementia has caused us to become just friends,
being argumentative until life ends.
Married 59 years
(to the same woman)

The eagle has landed.
A very electric man who has vast riches
has hitherto behaved as your next-door neighbor
he might think he is that neighbor
He is not an eagle sits on top of a tree, on branches further
down lesser birds that fly in formation
the eagle flies alone and harbors a loathing for
ducks and gees
He knows argumentative crows can be bother
some leave a trail open for them, a path that he can pretend
to join when a hunt does not disturb the eagle's instinct
This is, if we like it or not, the way the nature someone is doomed
to be the leader to keep the rabbits in check,
less they should demand equity

Soft dreamy rainfall,
prelude to crackling thunder;
Tempestuous sky;
Attracted to heat
boorish Storm bothers the Sun,
electric novice;
Going back and forth
argumentative nature,
hail will never cease;
Camouflage of drops
design an unskilled picture;
Diamonds in a pond;
The water collects flooding,
a new world waits to unfold.

Nothing
Two o'clock this Wednesday afternoon
protected by tall walls, but I have to go
inside
the sun is too hot
It is about getting a deep, lasting tan
my vanity has no limit
gave me skin cancer
I will not write anything today,
weaning myself from this feverish addiction
My internal conversation is as argumentative
as the old Jew I met in Leeds
I will think of nothing!
Sadly, I fail to stop this stream of consciousness
a lava bubbling from its crater
The smell of sulphur of rejected thoughts
that will prove me wrong
and plants shall grow.
What is nothing as it has no shape or form
no aroma or colour
I get up from my chair too quickly, collide
with the door and fall unconscious
into a void
All I now know is that nothing,
is a headache

Of course I agree with free speech
And the right of people to have their say,
But why can’t people be more reasonable,
And see it my way?
People accuse me of being argumentative
And of enjoying a good old verbal fight,
But I never argue with anyone,
I just explain to them why I’m right!
I justify my debating standpoint,
As if from the lyrics of some corny song:
I could agree with you …
But then we’d both be wrong!

I AM MY OWN FATHER
I NEVER KNEW OR UTTERED THE WORD FATHER MY ENTIRE LIFE
AT SCHOOL MEETINGS,HE WAS NO SHOW
I ONLY MET MY FATHER FOR THE FIRST TIME AT HIS FUNERAL
THATS IRONIC
I HAVE ALWAYS STOOD UP FOR MYSELF
I AM MY OWN FATHER
I AM MY OWN HERO
I AM ROBUST,STUBBORN,PROTECTIVE OF MYSELF AND ARGUMENTATIVE
I CANNOT BE SHAKEN BY ANYTHING
I AM PROUD TO SAY,I AM THE MAN
I AM MY OWN FATHER

So disappointing to have a reputation--
Known for argumentative disputation
When we could be known for a gentler tone,
Raising quality of discourse in our generation.

There is hope for humanity;
we need to learn to get along
and move past the insanity
of doing what we know is wrong.
We left our caves;
then enchained slaves.
Our fate's fueled by vanity;
argumentative and headstrong
we're stewards of profanity
and can't tolerate trust for long.
It all sounds strange;
but we can change.

Fishing
The sea is turquoise
ships are clouds in the sky.
On the pier headless dolphins
side by side
Music in the air.
Children slide on gore.
shouting sellers
argumentative buyers.
a cacophony of humanity.
Bless this day.
This moment.
God is good here is food for all.

The canasta
We played canasta, club 7 was missing lie on the floor,
but the rules where you couldn’t pick it up invented by lawmakers
who had decided that one part should lose the game of power?
Millions of people protested their concern was not hidden as the system
was rigged to favour one and the missing card became irrelevant
or buried in page number five as a joke.
The card was picked up anyway and used as proof of false performance
since the man who picked up the 7th card was profoundly
argumentative he was wrong until proven right, they continued playing
with a missing card ignoring the consequences.
The rule is quite clear you can´t play canasta with a missing card.

They pass my window every day
the young, the old, the tired, the grey,
the little woman going to church,
the teenage lover left in the lurch,
the silver haired lady, a faded ingénue,
the argumentative couple with children, two.
The retired school teacher with the nervous tic,
the lady in a headscarf walking very quick,
the Jehovah's witnesses who hover by and by,
looking and wondering is it worth another try?
The postman with a parcel, always for next door,
the reluctant school kid, wondering what education's for?
I sit and watch this panoply of ordinary everyday folk,
laughing, crying, interacting, sharing a current joke,
and wonder at the diversity of the people that I see,
and think how strange and wonderful and funny we can be.

Knock, knock who is it,
The bill collector is at the door
He keeps on coming back for more
Knock, knock I can't open the door
He keeps on threatening me even more
Knock, knock I can't take this anymore
The bill collector keeps knocking at the door
Knock, knock go away
Why do you choose to stay
It's not like I don't want to pay
I just haven't much to give a way
I don't wish to delay, I want to repay
Why can't you wait till payday
Knock, knock the Bailiffs at the door
He keeps on banging down the door
I can't take this harassment anymore
It's like he provoking war
Knock,knock I need to escape through the back door
Before we get into an argumentative war
Whereby I am on the floor
Asking him not to harass me anymore
Knock, Knock who is it ,the Bailiffs at the door
I wont knock you to the floor
But I will be back for more.
