Premium MemberLonging For You

I longed for you to know Him
oh dear one of my heart
to seek true faith and turn from sin
and never once depart.

Now you are gone and I let go
of prayers for your salvation
into God’s hands, He surely knows
my longing to see you in heaven.

I long to see your face the most
your warm blue eyes and steady smile
your humor and your antidotes
your stories and adventures, wild.

I longed to see your sweet heart melt
to believe, and knew you saw a glimpse
of God’s great love and kindness felt
I long to see you in His realm exist.

Poetry In Time of Pandemic

FIRST - ACT I

                 stragglers,
                 mad of
                 pandemic...
                 introverts,
                 suffocated and
                 masked...
                 we livef
                 our neuroses
                 paralyzing...
                 no antidotes
                 no shelters...
                 only poetry in us
                 comforts like hypnosis
                 the body and soul
                 in symbiosis...

We Have To Return

There’s no other way, we have to return,
Return here to resume once more again,
And wash our very own dirt once again,
Death takes us to new life, oft to new light,
But more oft to our own dirt, our own blight,
There’s no other way, we have to return.

We have to dig out deeper a new well,
Separate fertile seeds from dried fern,
Discern from own breath all our fetid smell,
Find from our own body lifelong of stealth,
Clean up our own wound, dress it back to health,
There’s no other way, we have to return.

A doctor, nurse, nor yet a hospital
May come to us, we must search and find out,
And make our own medicine if at all,
Find antidotes to our own deeds and doubts,
There’s no other way, we have to return,
And resume once again in a new churn.

Forest Murmurs

Light makes lustrous the green of the leaves above;
Waving forest hands, calming gestures, luminous
Antidotes to stress.
The movement of the air is no more than a cool breath,
Down here, amongst the ferns and boulders,
Grey from lichen.
A sudden clapping of wings startles, as was the bird;
Yet stillness returns, save for distant voices,
The world without.
Thoughts slow, rumination gives way to contemplation;
Magically, the mind reaches into memory, to music,
Summoning soothing melodies.
Notes fall, in elegant cadence, onto the inner ear;
A joy-filled phrase brings the comfort of familiarity,
Remembered forest murmurings.
The crevices of the mind, recently obese with anxieties,
Fill instead with haunting rhythms, hungry for
Their healing balm.
Each step becomes a dance, a graceful pavane;
Sure footed, guided by the music, cushioned by
The softness beneath.
Time slows, the moment lingers, reluctant to escape;
The music plays, filling body, soul and mind,
Bringing peace.

Premium MemberCount On Me

Phone calls, then running down long halls.
Drive fast, damned traffic, but at last.
Must park, make payment in the dark.
Run in, puff puff, catch second wind.
Then soon, I'll find you in some room.

White coats, dispensing antidotes.
So small, so fragile -- like a doll.
Green-blue, that gown can't comfort you.
Ice cold, these blankets won't withhold.
Make warm, fluff pillow, no alarm.

You smile. I'll be here for a while.
All through, I'm watching over you.
Eat eat, some soup, but was that meat?
Tic toc, until some sleepy talk.
Kiss Kiss, dim light and 'Goodnight, Sis'.

Brought cheer. I'm done. I’m outa here.

Premium MemberSense of a Woman

She’s born to nurture, love and understand,
Her puissant presence sways from gay to grand.
She needn’t scream and shout her point of view,
With calm and class She carries herself through.
Multiple roles She’s destined to achieve -
Be it career, home, a child to conceive.
Her trademark touch - tranquility and taste -
Are ample antidotes to a man’s haste.

Love, laced with patience, luminates her face,
Petals of a flower - wisdom and grace.
She may seem soft, her stem is supple yet strong,
Respect She does demand, don’t do her wrong.
Intuition is her set convention,
Beyond other gender’s comprehension.
Whether unjust or unfair She stands by,
Her Forgiveness - your prize to glorify.

Above all, She’s the matrix of desire,
The primal sense that sets the world on fire.
Subtle aroma nature couldn’t invent -
Seductive, suave and sweet - a Woman’s scent.

All religions in the world preach the noblest morals
Show us live harmoniously without quarrels.
Constitutions of nations advocate ideal ways
Inculcate unity and fraternity always.
The pious scriptures, great preaching contained
Rights and duties, the manuals clearly explained
Ancient cultures are forever to be cherished
Their roots and origins shouldn’t be perished
Wars, never be the antidotes; take issues to discussions
Or else the whole race has to face the repercussions
Acknowledge that no race is superior to others
All have their own radiance and unseen covers
Self-centric, the only reason for all plights
Change mindsets and then think for the rights
Are we the sole owners of this soil?
To rebuild this pristine land, need to toil.
Summits and seminars may find out reasons and remedies
Let’s start! Be a part of the marathon to bring back the melodies.

Pandemic Poetic Antidote

Scattered, or joined
                 maddened by

Envy's Meal

Western culture marches under the banner of freedom
like a tsunami, pushing debris into quiet neighborhoods
where children play,
changing forever what it touches.

Its modern religion replaces catechism with mirror,
where self is honored,
and rules reshaped
to fit new behavior.

Good deeds succumb to more stuff,
as the god of materialism
is worshiped at the temple of Amazon.com,
making preachers obsolete.

The table is now set
for comparison’s dinner,
where greedy eyes
categorize and rank each other’s wealth.

Seeds of jealousy begin with observation,
are watered by a word or two,
and fertilized by covet’s thought
and a hidden wish for more.

Lust and prejudice are harvested
in dark moments,
when fortune smiles upon one,
leaving another behind.

Anxiety’s cage is opened
releasing antidotes of peace,
introducing sleepless nights
on craving’s pillow.

Life becomes a curse
as happiness flees from avarice,
leaving nothing to nourish the soul,
because envy eats nothing but its own heart.
