i could not afford oceanfront
a reassuring kiss from you is priceless
i wish that you were here
however your eyes are more important than a trip
i pray that both of your eyes heal from the cataract surgeries
if it were up to be, then i would go back to school and study to be a miracle worker
i would just pray your perfect eyesight back into their rightful place, and then off we go
no matter where we stay, the view is always more beautiful with you by my side
Nowadays we're not free to do what we like
Omicron is the FBI
Unseen and axists anywhere
It's a spy globally
We do distancing ,wearing masks,washing hands
To disguise and to avoid it
We cann't afford to be careless
Because we're blind in the mind and the senses
Whenever facing them
Maybe only the six senses can tell it's somewhere near
And obey SOP before it's too late
Perhaps it comes only to capture the "disobedients"
Does it
Henry Ford mass-produced the Model 'T' Ford,
A contraption the unwashed masses could afford!
'Twas the latest and greatest to include a crank and jack,
And he offered a choice of colors as long as it was black!
I’ll go to some faraway place,
On a lovely, isolated beach, at sunset,
And watch the fiery solar ball
Disappear over the limitless horizon.
Look, the waves are rhythmically opalescent,
The azure billows changing to carmine red
And then to misty white as the foam
Dissolve upon the fine citron sand.
I’d lay myself upon a comfy hammock,
Watch baby turtles swim in shallow sea,
Or feel the saliferous sweet breeze
Waft leisurely over the windblown dunes.
Perhaps I’d languidly sway myself into a divine nap
Until the sacred drums resonate with native music.
The smell of finely cooked paella chicken
Would whiff into my nostrils. Time to eat.
I wake and fry a couple of eggs
In my forlorn, unkempt kitchen.
I can only afford a dream.
Just because I had a job
Doesn't mean I was gainfully employed
Or could afford my college degrees
Or even to eat, to sleep
So working low wage jobs 2nd shift
Was one way to look as if
I was head above water till I got too sick
I too was homeless
But for my car
Which they could not find to repossess
Only because it was my last link to hope
But this too would be a rope that would hang me
I couldn't afford the car either
Nor gas, oil, parking let alone insurance
I found ways to bathe
At the gas station
the laundromat
Then off to work smelling clean
With a sordid secrete
I too slept with the deer at the park
Where a sign said "Park closed after dark"
But I know God's rules didn't deny me
Park or simple joys of moonlight
Just because the economy tossed
My budget like a salad
And I made a pallet
In the car homeless today
Car-less soon
But not forever
This too shall pass.
Lord Could Afford to Be on Board
Love our Lord who had been on board
I adored and where my sins are stored;
God did forbid and had flipped his lid;
When outside had gone away to hide.
God could hardly bare having love to spare;
After being there he handled me with care;
From what we heard he flew off like a bird;
By my canny cat he had eaten up his third.

Be sure to bring your surf board,
Which you always can afford;
To God be conscientiousness;
When you do be very anxious.
When drowning in river realized,
That I really was being baptized;
While I had been having a hunch,
All politicians were out to lunch.
Would find out that flu had been;
Saved for only those who did sin,
According to my Bible I had read,
Will receive ticket when you sped.

Nothing is cheap
Nothing is expensive
Either you can afford it
Or you can't afford it.
Such a simple part of life
Situational from time to time
To take the hard decision
To sort this meager question.
Rather than to try
Do something to cry
To possess the thing
Than to start the bothering
How can you afford?
Is the real question
Everything else
Is a mental conclusion.

Cut the Cord So We Can Afford
What we should want is cut the cord;
Then determine what we can afford;
Here is the rub;
Check pay stub,
For amount allowed by Loving Lord.

Computers Never Could Afford
Computers they never could afford;
Students have to use a blackboard;
Marble series;
Love clearies;
Where their each idea out is poured.
A cleary is a see through marble.
Those are the best teachers to
have when you can easily see
through them.

Am Able To Afford
What I will like best about My Lord;
Is always there and am able to afford;
Meant to be,
For you and me;
Anyone can be a member of His horde.

Always Can Afford
Life likes to go on and on;
Then direction does change;
Day to a close it has drawn
Furniture should re-arrange.
Was done with due accord
Usually when you are bored
Regardless can always afford
The love of our dear Lord.
What I met might be a couplet;
I am not really sure, so through
more poetry I should take a tour.

No, I can’t afford to lose you
In this craziness called life
Though the madness presses in
And I cannot still the strife
I can’t afford to lose you now
No, I can’t afford to lose you
Though I’m catatonic now
In the nothingness of thought
The need to reconnect somehow
I can’t afford to lose you now
No, I can’t afford to lose you
My yearning’s penned upon this page
Fighting all constraints of time
I reach out past my hidden rage
I can’t afford to lose you now
No, I can’t afford to lose you
Your words: a needed, calming grace
Weaving in my troubled mind
glowing wisdom I can trace
No, I can’t afford to lose you now
Not now
Not ever
No, I WILL NOT lose you now!
