Premium Member AN ABSTRACTED POEM

orbit around
ideas
 once held
close
 in past selves

rhetoric
  bathed
in clichéd
  visual
representation

burnished
impulse
strengthened
by the
the wilderness
of
  inner life

needs
posited
 by visual
  language
 unmoored
   from contexts
 vagueness
&amorphous
 abstraction

 fervency
erased
 spring up
distilled
of some
essence
 circumvented
in
narcissistic
 grafting
of self
 in the tangible
permanence
 of durable
words

Premium Member SILENCE abstracted

hush
a  still quietude
of
whispers

this
   absence of sound
muted
soundless
unspoken thoughts
in
a noiseless
vacuum

 a wordless
   world
of empty
tranquility
   cocooned
with
intangible
  trancendence

a lifeless
   void
in
  a
taciturn
reticence
of
loquacity

ABSTRACTED

 an elegant
obsession
 transformed
 from the absence
 of light
beyond black
a
created complex
of smoothness
in
 surfaces
absorbed
by
reflected light
so
 hard to exploit

  a
 fascination
with luminosity's
potential
 to create
to juxtapose
&
 overwhelm
in swathes
of
the
normal

such
a
duality
of
the
delicate shadowed
then
 merge
to
 a free rein
in
 interpretation
of
notions

Abstracted Naught
David J Walker

As soon as they left
You head
The limpid thoughts
Headed south

The words that parted
Your lips
         passed you mouth
In ways not meant for
Distracted thought

But still slipped
into the
Abstracted naught

Of something you wished
you’d never thought

Especially wished
you’d never said
