Romancing the Silver Screen

Romancing the silver screen
Setting a million hearts ablaze
Through amorous dreams
Of actors lost in
Love, desire and longing
A make-believe that entertains
Takes us on flights of fantasy
With a clap of the clapperboard
A professional obligation begins
That ends with wrapping up the scene.

Xylem Ablaze

He climbed atop
an oak on fire
Its sap transformed
by flames concealed

Each branch he passed
a year he traded
For what’s unseen
— by heat congealed

ablaze

i’m a gas leak
in your wood house
bound to go up in flames
becoming too weak
with you a circus mouse
layers of too many games
?

Premium MemberEnd Of August

August rain: the best of the summer gone, and the new fall not yet born.
The odd uneven time—Sylvia Plath

End Of August

The end of August is oh so near
Yet, another day of golden sun scorches
Another day with ruby rays that sear
Wild brush burns like fiery torches
No not an exaggeration, a flambeau
Blistering heat blankets my tawny skin
Sweltering August, I bid you adieu
Foliage dry and brittle; sunken in
Squinting eyes, blinded bright
Awaiting shadows that stretch and deepen
Sun flowers once vivid, lost in a haze of light
Autumn creeps in imperceptibly subtle, sublimely
Ablaze are the arid western skies
The evening west's sun takes its time, rashly, untimely
Yellow aglow, settling sights of fires belies
Lingering sun setting its rouge rage lust
Harbinger of the season to come
Equinox heralds a sign,
in the end of August

A New Frame of Faith

We're moving into a new frame of faith,
Into a future that's yet to unfold,
A new pace of faith we embrace,
Leaving behind what we cannot hold.

Seasons change, we can’t be the same,
On our path, a divine meeting awaits,
In God's presence, we find our aim,
And our hearts, He gently reforms.

He's the great I AM we can trust,
Our hope for the future untold,
With favour resting on us,
We're drawing many to His fold.

We are one-of-a-kind, uniquely designed,
A demonstration of faith's unique grace,
Let go of the past, leave biases behind,
And watch the fire inside of us ablaze.

Soul Ablaze

The dark hour
of pre-dawn
solitude.

Air is thick
with solemn
quietude.

Soul ablaze
with vibes of
sacred chant.

Heart set ablaze, returning your gaze
Conveyance of want and desire
Beating in time with yours fit in rhyme
Blood coursing through, set afire
With passion unbridled, the chapter untitled
Pulse racing, breath taking thought
Yearning for you as I always do
Your touch and embrace have I sought

Set my mind ablaze.
Settling me down in this maze.
See everything now,
Even the very same things
Which people long to forget.

The Sea and the Sand

The way you cry so easily makes me angry in ways I do not understand.
Im in the right and you’re on the wrong
So how do your eyes get to be sea and mine still feel like sand?.
You sit in the dark crying with your head in your hands
And I stand in my own anger waiting and watching for something unplanned.

The people around you let your sea run free.
A mother who says im the villain apparently
Friends who care enough to sit with you and drown in your sorrow ocean
You see, I have that too
But
But I certainly do not have as many tears as you do.

But I have enough anger to supply every star including the sun
Enough anger for thousands but I am only one.
I could light a fire with my words
Set a song of red, orange, and yellow flame to your feelings with my sharp look of rage.
You do not have enough water stored in your eyes to put out my fury.

So the next time you dare to try and douce me in your guilt
Try to wash my anger in rivers of sadness
Know that my irritation is as big as the dry horizon.
That I can create castles with my sand infused eyes
Mistake the sea for gasoline
and set the oceans…
Ablaze.

Premium MemberFall Noon Ablaze

whoa!
fire, fire
everywhere!
a bright fall noon
blanketed by a vast sea of red leaves
worker parts "Red Sea" with rake? who is that?
sure ain't Moses!
look, he's got...
helpers,
too.

Skies ablaze, day is done
  Dying rays, setting sun

 Embers sink in the sea
One last wink let it be

 Light will fade, darkness shrouds
 Flight of birds above clouds

My garden of love I set ablaze,
By spark of a word that should not have been said,
Harsh words in the letter he should not have read,
A garden so dear was now ablaze!

The angel of love that flew away,
Can prudence retract that soul that has been lost?
From beyond the winding roads in deep woods vast?
That angel of love I cast away!

To see romance ride in through the door,
Tender bouquet of roses stare from the vase,
These symbol of endearment are at a loss,
To see him walk out of the same door!

My diamond ring lies deep in snake den,
Well measured should have been the voice of reason,
How misunderstanding in love breeds treason!
I dropped my cherished love in snake den!

Guard your love with tender palms of care,
Let this be known to all and may this be preached,
That words once spoken in love can’t be retrieved,
let love stay aglow in palms of care!

Sunlight Set the Sea Ablaze

Sunlight was spun in filagree
Golden threads among froths of lace
On crested curls in merry chase

Burnished by waves in synchrony
I smiled at their lucent shimmers
As they danced in dappled glimmers

Sparkling like gems of brilliancy
In bright hues of topaz and maize
Jewels that set the sea ablaze

Gulls sang a gleeful symphony
This wondrous morning on the cape
Sol painted an awesome seascape

As dawn revealed her litany
On sunlight's gilded reflection
Break of day was pure perfection

Sunlight was spun in filagree
Burnished by waves in synchrony
Sparkling like gems of brilliancy
Gulls sang a gleeful symphony
As dawn revealed her litany
