Zephyr

Wandering winds wind through tall thin trees sending constant consumptive croaks with sustained sonority. Quaking querulously a mellow message, a somber song, sweetly sung by a zephyr

Amazing how it looks like a tornado but of course, a tornado isn't a zephyr. I do love the way the wind through the pines sings the sighing song. Way to go on this winner. Thanks for sharing it and for dropping by my page. Sara..

Thank you Sara. I had started a nine, but of course, 'zephyr' blew the syllable count LOL. :)

Nicely penned, Alice. I love listening to wind whistle and roar through the pines. It's different than broadleaf trees which has a rustling sound. You have me ready for a trip to the woods:) Have a Happy Mother's Day sweet friend:)

Thanks Daniel. I do too. I was thinking of the aspen trees in the Rockies when I wrote it. Eerie croaking of the 'quakies' - I loved it! Happy trip! Also thanks for the Mom Day wishes!
