Like the strokes of an artist’s brush Painting a self-portrait of my life The colors are people, events, and experiences Each stroke flows into the next creating the picture A step back is needed at times To observe the full scope of life To include the essence of my being Expressing all aspects as one Without the help of the master creator I can not finish this work completely Knowing not how I will fully evolve In faith I place my brush into the Master's hand

With experiences earned in life and exploring into the depths of our own heart, we can see what kind of a life we have been leading and draw a self portrait. But to give it the finishing touch and gloss, we need the help of the Great Artist. This abidance in Him makes your life beautiful ! A lovely poem.

My friend Bill its nice to see you come out of hibernation.. I love how your captures the essence of life as a work of art, skilfully using the metaphor of an artist painting a self-portrait. The imagery of colours representing people, events, and experiences, with each stroke seamlessly flowing into the next, creates a vivid picture of the interconnectedness of life's moments..

Dear bill, its so good to see you back to writing and sharing your thoughts in the most poetic manner which also depicts wisdom and truth in the most profound manner. As i agree with you too that sometimes it is necessary to take a step back, reflect, and think, connect with inner self to move on and heal, from past etc. faith is the guide, when all is dark, we find light through darkness, and you’ve expressed that so well here: i am glad you found light amidst all.
