Winds of Change
Suddenly the wind whirled and came along
Bringing shocking change, instead of a song
Bad news arrived of a heartbreaking death
So hard to believe, as it took my breath
First phase of grief has taken over me
Shock has prevented tears I cannot see
Again, the question ‘why’ consumes my mind
Good people taken, no answers to find
Last words said to me still do remain
I know one day, tears will fall like rain
I hurt from the loss and reminders too
Of all tragic deaths that I've been through
But, I know you are watching from up high
So, I will continue in light, to fly
