"wide Right ! "

The Giants and Bills squared off for a fight... A human chess game, lived up to its hype... The game so close to call... It would end with a kicked ball.. The snap, the hold, Wide Right!, Wide Right!.... Giants defeat Bills in Super Bowl 1991.. For "Sweetheart of Poetry Soup" Limerick contest

I remember that game well. It still ranks as one of the 10 most memorable , if not one of the 10 most crisply played. It was tight and exciting. I don't think that the Bills ever fully recovered from losing that game. You wrote this very well. Regards, Gerard and congratulations!

Congrats on taking first place wit your great limerick, Michael. "Wide right" or "wide left" are about the worst words to hear what that game-winning (or game-losing) field goal is kicked. This happens all the time, not just in the '91 Super Bowl. Excellent poem! Love, Carolyn
