Where the Butterflies Play

Creep the vines crawling the guarded walls Peek the rays drawing into my restless mind Breaking dawn burning off the morning mist Submitting no longer to a life of trepidation Living out daily dreams and forgotten fantasies, letting go of pains and endless sufferings, releasing thoughts and feelings trying to make things seem right in a world of all wrong Generous soul pour out your torments through my veins bring to light in the freshness of a new day a garden of bountiful harvests in an untapped sea of love where the butterflies come to play

I am so shy commenting on poems of others, I am still so young. But this one speaks to me, as my nights are tormented by nightmares, and i write butterflies in daytime. I love this poem. It's so beautiful.

I probably have more than the 35 shoes. hahaha. If I include boots and athletic shoes!! ok, just read the poem and I love how it comes to a conclusion with that title line. A good poem requires and amazing title line like this one.

You want to come to my ocean spot (if you remember) and I'd love to go where the butterflies play, too. I relate to the need in your poem, even desperate desire, to leave the cruelties you currently feel for a good frolic through a Disney emotional landscape. So, your poem works quite well. Chin up ... There is a beauty in releasing the 'old' to make room and welcome with abandon the glorious possibilities of the 'new' into our lives. Your lovely words feel inspiring to what is there, when hearts are open. The "butterfly" is a wonderful metaphor for opening up to love and change. I feel the desire there in your words of wanting and feeling worthy to deserve love. A gorgeous poem Tim:-) blessings, lynn
