When You Make Aliyah

Shalom u'vrakha forever ~
From the ancient days when your ancestors
walked in sands, in timeless holy Jerusalem,
the Western Wall collecting tears and whispered
prayers.
Lush green hills with bleating sheep,
orchards of fruited trees,
and children playing.
When you make aliyah,
as shofars blow throughout the land calling
for Shabbat,
I'll pray to our God the rest of my days,
that you and your family will be safe,
dreaming of peace,
sleeping under the evefall sky bright with
stars just like your forefathers did. ~
