When I Write

When I write I feel I’m writing for the Lord Which leaves me with a great sense of responsibility For my words be it in poetry, comments or otherwise Must always reflect his love and compassion I never think of how many souls I may help lead to Christ For I am no leader of men, I am but a servant A servant who uses his own life as an example To try and help others understand the true joys of salvation And how it’s never too late to live for the Lord For his love and compassion is greater than I can imagine When it comes to sin I have tasted them all All of them left me very bitter and empty, cold and alone Even though I’ll never understand why, the Lord forgave me Then he gave me a gift and set me free unto the world Never to be bound in the darkness of my own sin again If my gift helps save a thousand souls yet loses one I have failed to use it correctly; I will have lost my way So once again I ask of you dear Lord to come unto me Guide my words so I may not turn anyone away Let my words be a beacon of your love Keep them forever humble For the only thing I truly know Without you I am nothing

A truly beautiful and inspired write. I too ask God to temper my words and to guide me. I know our experiences, good or bad are given to us for a greater purpose in the end. Gods influence touches your words always, Michael. It shines through them. Love Robin

for this is a humble piece of pie, and Jesus Christ said that I tell you today, that you will by no means enter into the kingdom, unless you are like children, humility is the key though sometimes not always and easy feat in this day and time, I hope that you are well my friend Michael, know that I am praying for you my brother, take care always, and know that I love you, D-ncye

Wow!!! A profound Inspirational poem in praise of the Lord -so very well written. God's love was behind your pen. It makes me feel that you have translated my feelings although the poem is the voice of your heart. You have said it all in the last line. Please correct a typographical error in line 9 and substitute words 'too late' in place of 'to late'. Thanks for going in the depth of my poem The Domain of Pain featured this week and your wonderful comments. Mohammad

Michael, first thank you for the comments this morning. I am so grateful for them all. This poems speaks of your deep love for the one above. Your heart shines so magnificently and through your poems I seem to draw closer to the one whom you love. I was there at one time, loving the maker, but derailed by issues. Your writes filled with love and devotion serves as a constant reminder of where I need to go and how far I have to travel. I thank you for this. You friend, Chris.
