Can't find a picture of the old garden the way I remember it, but here are some pictures of Weed Park, in Muscatine, Iowa. The first two I think are current pictures:

There was even a zoo and a public pool:

It's a menagerie of Muscatine memories | Local | muscatinejournal.com____________________________________________________________________________

The garden in Weed Park was a special spot at the park’s edge. Beautiful white columns flanked its entrance, and benches of decorative wrought iron were placed along the cement pathways you could follow in its small labyrinth. Although as a child, I preferred to play on the swings or ride the kiddie train, the beauty of Weed Park’s garden still flits in my memory on soft bright wings like those of the butterflies drawn there – like us - to its sweet flowers’ scent. yes, In Muscatine. the park was huge and even had a zoo and public swimming pool. The garden was a small part of it!

Such an unusual name for a garden, was it really called Weed Park? But I love the visual of the wrought iron and the labyrinth, and 'soft bring wings of butterflies'...
