Upon the Day - a Summer Dream
Pure love drowning
in a garden of refrain
raging winds pulsing
pushing out the drenching rain
A song of songs awaits
as nerves climb the hill tops high
a final breath as sunlight falls
upon the azure sky
My lovely rose
of silken light
in silent steps I plea
in murmurous breath I strain to recite
a heartfelt love to thee
If in this moment
this summer day
a love could be fulfilled
then surely my sweet Desiree
death would not prevail
