Before this contest, I thought a tyburn was what you got from leaning over the stove! You learn something new on this site almost every day. Thank you for the generous comment, dear friend. I'm not giving up on the baseball season just yet, crossing fingers and toes!

Every time I think about trying a new form I feel overwhelmed and don't think I can do it, then eventually I give it a try and find out it wasn't as hard as I had supposed. Thank you for coming by to read this and leave another friendly comment. Blessings ~ John

In this contest, each one tries hard to vie with one another and it is going to be very hard to judge the winner, if the judgement is impartial. On reading a new one, I feel it is better than that of all the others. John, that's is how I feel about your poem

Thank you for your words of encouragement, Valsa. I am content to let the judges decide what they believe is best. I am grateful for their hard work and their time spent, I can only do my best and try to learn and do even better each time. I appreciate your thoughtful comment ~ John

Andrea, thanks for the read and comment. I have not done a Sijo yet, but will look forward to reading your pleiades once it is posted. That's part of the fun of Joseph's contests about poetry forms is that we get to learn more about the unfamiliar forms both from trying to write about them and reading what other poets are writing. I did one on sonnets last year but thought I should spread my wings a little bit this year and try something new. Have a great week, poetry geek!

Hi John, this is a great entry my friend. Absolutely best for a win. I tried to soupmail you 6 or 7 times yesterday but as soon as I put my finger on send, the soupmail disappeared. I was asking if you could please give me the three titles of your Anthology poems - I Found your name as selected and the page numbers, maybe its my purple hair????? Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Jenn, I sure enjoy and appreciate your enthusiasm and affirmation... I hope you are able to receive soupmails even though the site is not letting you send any. If so, I just sent you one and a couple yesterday. You know what they say about technology problems: "If at first you don't succeed, cry cry again". Blessings and hugs ~ John

This is a tricky one to do, but you make it seem effortless - your lines flow so easily it does not even seem like there is a 'T' requirement on them - should top the winner's list!

Hi Connie, thank you for your encouragement. Did you enter this contest? Pleiades can be a challenge trying to describe something in only 42 syllables, especially a poetry form. Take care, my friend ~ John
