True Friends

It's a wonderful thing to have a friend Although good friends are fairly rare, In one's lifetime they'll come and go A good friend is one you cannot spare, True friends never forsake you, Standing with you come what may Always knowing the right thing to say, Instinctively knowing just what to do Offering help though you never ask, More than willing to come to your aid They will never put on a phony mask I believe true friendship will never fade. Some friends are always there, a true friend will always care, but as of late, its been my fate, to have friends who make me pull my hair! A wonderful rhyme should be a POTD! ;)

"true friendship will never fade" Quite right. True friends are people you may not have seen for years but you can just pick up where you left off like no time has passed. But like you said, they are rare.

Yes, I have a true friend actually a couple that have been very close for the past 38 , 45 years with another and they make sure to stay in contact even though I’ve moved away to console me if I’m depressed.

Yesterday Milton I talked to a "True Friend" He is a Corporate Lawyer and owns a Law firm. It was nice to talk to him because he is a special friend like you wrote about. You are so right in what you wrote. He moved from Naples Florida to Ohio to take care of his aging mother. We are planning to get together. All that you wrote was like you were writing about our friendship... This one is a favorite for me Milton. Heartfelt piece which I really enjoyed reading... God bless you...
