Captain Tom in the Uk was inspirational he is 99 years old but it was his fundraising which spurred Bob on to try his best to raise funds for our 'friends of hospital' I am just trying to raise awareness away from our little Island, Bob will not reach the dizzy heights of the £28 million Tom raised, but every little helps with his fund raising for our community:-) hugs Jan xx

we are not out of the woods yet, just one new case in 3 days BUT the death toll is rising especially from one care home which is so badly affected:-( we are not going to do anything other than our essential journeys - today the roads were manic today as were the shops. we are trying to stay at home, I think its too early for restrictions to be relaxed - must social distance still which is the most sensible thing but I do miss seeing mum:-( hugs Jan xx

What kindness this man is showing in walking for others. He looks so healthy! Certainly not an average 93 year old. You're doing a wonderful thing in promoting his cause, Jan.

That's brilliant Jan, a well written tribute to Bob, He`ll be so pleased with this tribute. The publicity from it being in the paper will give his fundraising more clout. Well done. Tom

I hope by posting it on soup and with it being recorded for the Manx blind welfare talking newspaper then it will raise public awareness, am hoping the local paper will publish it too but I've had no response to my e mail but I know they are doing an article on him. I spoke to his daughter tonight she was so delighted I am trying to help the cause:-) hugs jan xx

Thanks Ilene he is inspirational:-) I don't donate to 'crowdfunding' as they take a percentage of the money donated (just think how much they will make from Captain Tom's £27 million for the NHS in the UK!!!) but I am taking a cash donation to the carehome. I am just trying to get more widespread recognition for Bob and hopefully a few more donations. Hope all is good with you and your family:-) hugs Jan xx
