To America

When I mark my ballot I make certain of the ink... it is always red to me! Each stroke, a limb – each downward pressure an attempt at stopping the bleeding, a bullet having found the torso, but never the true heart of a Freedom loving patriot. Know what goes into the right to vote...and leave that booth shaking with such honor others sacrificed their very lives to selflessly give you....

Thank you, Kim; veterans like yourself I know understand. Not for war purposes I speak of now, but I think the draft should be brought back~ it made men and women out of thoughtless, self-serving children.

We take so much for granted...for rights that are not considered important in other parts of the world. Thank you for reminding all of us of this in a clear and poetic manner. We should be so grateful that one of those rights is the right to vote.

Such a precious right some of us seem reluctant to take seriously and carry out with due diligence. Thank you, Gail. Have a great day!

Your write here, is full of your empathy And values for a better reality Joe expressed In this appreciation of being able to vote' The sad thing is there are some who look at Just what we value, and subvert it, its happening With so many things we interact with ' which Saddens me greatly.' Maybe its all part of trying To disorient humanity.? Hope you are well '

Thank you, Joe; I am doing well. I hope you and your loved ones are also in good health. If we have health, reasonably satisfying food and shelter, we are ahead of most of the world who struggle day to day just for the barest necessities due to greedy or poor governance. Subvert is what the devil does. He turned television into a soulless babysitter. Cell phones into syringes for connectively addicted banal animals. And the internet into a porn hub. Subvert is what the Devil does. Blessings my friend.

For sure; war is never the answer. On the other hand, I would not want to face my God someday, knowing I did nothing while my children were raped and murdered by a savage a aggressor. I could not live with myself~ and would not expect my God to look kindly on such cowardliness.

Suppose they gave a war and nobody came?........ Its so important to get your vote right and make it count. The plight of those that have gone before in the name of war, are a grim reminder and a wake up call, to vote in a govt that wont let any more young men and women fall. Excellent poem Joe you should be proud.

A great reminder for all of us my friend. We must all revere the right to vote. I concur with your sentiments, Joe: Know what goes into the right to vote...and leave that booth shaking with such honor others sacrificed their very lives to selflessly give you....
