Tides
The ocean has her romance with the shore,
cavorting with its borders, day and night-
sometimes courageously extending more
than ever, thrashing out in wild delight-
beyond her limits, searching out new sand
and rocks explored and felt for the first time;
exuberant with life, she takes her stand
against all obstacles- to spread and climb.
But, there are times, just like a docile cat,
she creeps up on the shore with timid soul,
receding, ebbing, reaching new lows that
deplete her strength to conquer any goal.
We all are oceans courting with life's beach-
both brave and timid- learning as we reach.
