Those Old Cold Men of the Woods

Against a night frightened white, a tall tree stands - skeletal - transfixing me one winter on my woodland walk. Small trees surround the tall one. They extend icy fingers as if to help point me out to the taller tree. The hairs rise on my arms as I view the long black limbs of those old cold men of the woods reaching out for me. Congratulations on your win, Andrea! I love your imagery, " transfixing me one winter on my woodland walk. " Its a profound sentiment as Nature unfolds itself before your eyes to show you its grand beauty. Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Best Wishes and hugs, Andrew.

I love it. Very vivid and beautiful. I think trees are my favorite things in nature. They have life and energy which you capture so very well here. (and you have a "winter wooland walk" and you know how I like that.)

SPOOKY...thanks for your comments, Yew trees were always planted in church yards, they have a huge religious meaning, that particular one is actually 1500 years old and you can fit 15 adults inside of it, it is that big..bye Petal...enjoy your Sunday..
