Notes About The Poem

When we almost finished writing this poem, White Wolf got a phone call telling him he was now an UNCLE for the first time in his life. :) So I finished the poem, and posted it, also on his behalf

Congratulations with little Macy, Budgie <3

This Willow Tree - a Collaboration With White Wolf

Evening gusts shall take away all my fear,
The stars will shine and fill my eyes with cheer,
The universe holds everything so dear
But you my love... How much I want you here

Lonely nights upon horizons I face,
To hold you again in this sacred place
I howl forlorn into the moonlit space
Where once we lay in our loving embrace

Weeping willows shall whistle in the glen,
As I lay silent with paper and pen
You left me, but I forgive you, again
The tree my witness, return to me, then....

We grow our roots beneath this willow tree
In sun and rain we will together be

What a wonderful poem Darren, two great minds coming together as one to create this masterpiece. My favorite form a sonnet, my favorite tree- everything about it is very much to my liking. xxx

So beautiful and yet so sad. My heart wept like the willow while reading it. This is what I call REAL poetry. Anyone can read it and anyone can understand it. That's what I like. Love you two.

above ground, weeping willow. Deep in earth, strong roots ... still growing, traveling, to springs of living water. i will pray that God adores your spirit, resilience, faith in loving ... You a blessing to so many. Arise and be healed, in Jesus Christ. amen

The weeping willow, rowan, and oak are just a few of my favourite trees, but I hold a special place in my heart for the weeper! I'm off to visit my new niece today, they named her, Macy! Which is Old French for "Weapon!" Haha, gotta love that. Love ya bro ~~~/|\~~~

Macy is a wonderful name :D I didn't want to post it with the poem, not sure if you'd appreciate that, but now I will put it in the note under the willow :)

Good Afternoon Darren and White Wolf too. My goodness. I believe the tree will hold many secrets the most precious and wondrous ones. You can count on that. And yes, the roots of love and life will grow. This entry is top level poetry in every way. All elements are present. Congratulations to you both on your collaboration. This was an honor to read. Have a wonderful day and may long live the willow tree.
