There Came a Season
There came a season
when dark loneliness wrapped around my soul
and held tight to the chill of my desire
leaving me a draught wormwood
that lay rotting in the murky ground...of time passing
a set of eyes found me
hidden beneath the dead roots of emotion
and gave life to a lifeless realm
sprouting new growth, from the deadwood of yesterday
awash in the glittering glorious glow from wanton eyes
I trembled to her approaching storm of powerful passions
unyielding in her sensual cause
unrelenting in her desires
lost by her rush of wind
I stumbled across the length of life
unbound by concerns
how poetic it all ended
not knowing whom to blame
I'll never forget... what's her name
