The Valley of Loss
All of my life have been circles and cycles of seasons. Sometimes, I drank fresh water from fountains. My life, like the earth, is also an uneven landscape of caves and valleys, hills and mountains.
The weather it brings is often painful, but inescapable. It is not a game, but there are many wins and losses. With the wins, I rejoice and sail into the wind. With the losses, I mourn and pay the costs.
Sometimes, I fear and dread the walk through the valley. I feel safer in the cave, hidden away, sheltered and warm. I know I cannot stay there, but must ascend to the mountain top. But here, I don't fear the evil above me, so filled with hate and harm.
Along the way, I will often be used, misused, or abused. And I don't have the luxury to be sheltered from every storm. But I'm more appreciative of my wins, when I understand my losses. My greatest happiness is to achieve the purpose for which I was born.
