The Third Wish - a Charm

Our daughter made a wish; it was her third, And Lydia Marie, a brand new child, Has come along with cheerful smiles to charm. Yes, with an infant’s usual sweet charm, This small gift came, arriving on the third Day after Christmas, a December child. The lovely last-born of our own dear child Keeps growing, showing more and more her charm. A wish come true is she, our daughter’s third. The third wish is a child who brims with charm! opposite of you, sweetie, I prayed NOT to have a third child and I got my wish!! My second (a boy) was so difficult that I knew I would go nuts if I got another one. haha

Beautiful poem, Andrea. I think there is something different about a third child; of course, I only had three--so maybe, it is something about the last child. Anyway, I enjoyed this poem. Congratulations.

well, I don't think this is 'silly', andrea, I think it's charming! it has good flow and doesn't sound forced at all...you got YOUR wish when you said you wanted to see me write a repetitive form and I said "never!" well, now I have! that site syllable counter is way out; it gave 'rosebud' as being three syllables!!

What a blessing, we have three grandchildren also, Ages 12, 8, and 7 months now. The third one is a charm all his own and he was born four days after Christmas last year on his mom's birthday. What a lovely poem to mark your granddaughter's arrival.

Lovely, Andrea...I found a brand new kind of love when my first grandchild was born; I didn't know something so tiger like could exist inside my heart.

This is very nice. Andrea. The joy of birth is something that is taken for granted by many people, but we should place it in the most important context, after all, it is a gift from heaven. Regards, Colin.
