The Proposal
"The Proposal"
by: Eric L. Boddie
I remember the first time I looked into your eyes
I remember the first time we ordered extra large fries
I remember the first time we woke up together
I remember the aroma of your hair when you come in from the weather
I remember your middle name and how it sounds so unique
I remember how you sound if you chew gum while you speak
I remember the very day that I first tasted your precious kiss
I remember that I have never felt about another girl quite like this
I remember how you laugh when you hear me tell a joke
I remember that you Loved me, even in the times that I was broke
I remember how you look if I come in too late
I remember what you wore on our very first date
I remember your expression when they play our special song
I remember how you sound when I touch you with my tongue
I remember the first time I surprised you at your job and took you to lunch
I remember the sweet sound of your voice saying "I Love you" more than once
I remember calling you when it's just starting to get dark
I remember holding your hand as we walk through the park
I remember how you look when you comb your hair and what you like to eat
I remember the favorite pair of shoes you like on your feet
I remember the ones you chose the first time we exchanged words
I remember the sound of your voice being the most Beautiful thing I have ever heard
I remember the very thing that made me want us to be together
I remember how much I Love you girl......will you be mine forever
