Colorful Falling Leaves with Sunlight Stock Photo - Image of falling ...

It was a mild autumn day far enough from summer’s heat awaiting winter’s cold bite The brilliant shafts of sunlight ignited the vibrant colors of autumn’s falling leaves I watched them as they fell tumbling down all around me Like outrageously large confetti every color from vivid scarlet to warm brown I ran through the leaves tossed them in the cool air then sat amongst them on the ground Autumn was here a feeling of joy came upon me a smile crept across my face

Not much imagery compared to the masters of imagery here on "The Soup". It's just the way I see things, colorful for me. :-) Smiles ~ Blessings, Kim. Bill

This is one of my most fave poems written by you bill, absolutely stunning and so very descriptively moving. So many lines stood out for me and as i read this i felt like i can see autumn through your well articulated lines. So beautiful. Especially love “ Like outrageously large confetti every color from vivid scarlet to warm brown” how gorgeous’ “ I ran through the leaves tossed them in the cool air” soul warming and touching. A very autumnal poem. And the picture goes so well. Definite Fave

Sadly our autumn has passed by and cold winds and rain has replaced it. Tom
