hyperrealism takes bizarre to insane when we are right here but not in the frame I hold all the thoughts as well as none existentially observed by men with lab coats on the moment of glory when all come to see thoughts, reactions, inner landscape of me but when the days over and notes neatly typed how can I exist in a state of no hype centre of attention, on my thoughts all enquired blazè in response, then diva like tired who knew that a moment was a singular thing after it passed, how I'd try to cling what did I see on that fateful day now I stare at myself in an infinite way looking quite deep I wasted their time thoughts a dime a dozen or a dozen a dime the view of self times by observer I just cannot square perhaps in the right light there was optical glare the feedback was stunning, as is always the case so I wish myself back, to be stood pride of place all I want, ever wanted, was to walk forwards (and in so break all previously held records) to be more special than just plucked from the herd forgiven for having musings absurd though to outstay a welcome then ponder there on in when I'm a herd animal, not brethren, not kin a space allotted and a space filled until no longer useful and politely killed

Dear DD, I love the painting and in someways a little creepy. I felt your poem hit like a revelation wrapped in a hall of mirrors for it was distorted, magnified, yet utterly true. The weight of being seen, then discarded. The hunger for significance, the ache of transience. You’ve unraveled something raw here, and I feel it deeply. Brilliant, haunting. Haha I should have known this psychological yet philosophical evaluation would have appealed to you Daniel :) you've nailed the description (although I presume there would be few lasting effects on a cow as long as travel to and from were handled kindly). It was fun to ponder and art is fun :) thanks for dropping in with your insightful words

The picture is crazy, but probably historical. I like how you captured that moment in time in your poem.

It's a hyper realistic painting from 1981 Hilda - so all fabricated (except the actual paintings in the painting which I believe are copies of real paintings). I've not gone so far as to check if it happened but I've done similar experiments with my pets before as a child (with less fanfare) and they aren't usually too interested. Thanks for your comment

I’m just after spotting something else quite curious, why are all the men wearing glasses except the one with the mop :)

That guy didn't ruin his eyesight reading academic journals in low light maybe, or perhaps it's the others are aliens... Ooh other theories? They got splash back on them already so he took them off haha

The hyperrealism artist faithfully captures precision and detail in paintings and realistic drawings as you do with your talent Dilly, here with words. The cow actually looks as if her eyes are closed, (the range of vision in front of them is limited) better that way, stubbornly clever they can be, proven to be very smart, they are problem solvers! Lol. Quite a story you've woven! It certainly astonishes this art lover ~ xhugs

Look at you again spotting what I miss lol, plus I hadn't done my cow research haha. I'm a little bit scared of cows actually, I once tried to do a turn in the road on a hill when I lived near a farm as the cows were being moved to another field and I didn't manage it in time and I basically almost (but not quite) blocked the road and the cows all passed one by one bumping my car and then the farmer shouted at me haha

Looks like a Friesian cow, and pretty interested in her unveiling, the big question will she recognise herself, you say she can Dilly, but in a different light and moment, A brilliant conceptual piece using introspective hyperrealism; politely killed? put out to pasture, maybe! cheers David

I think the image is used a lot for essay setting, does the cow have any recognition of the image or just see a flat surface etc. I think she might have been involved in another experiment by the time I chatted to her, she was pretty spaced out lol thanks for your comment :)

In any light, refractured or not, that bunch of numb nuts deserved 2 things from Bessie. A Moo and a pile of poop left behind to acknowledge her being chosen to witness the unveiling. Dilly, your lines were ingeniously woven with bovine personification of the scene.

Haha thanks Lin, the infinite observer kind of comes into play with a hyperreal painting like this as we are stepped out twice. I've no idea if ever a scene actually took place but it seems highly likely... Art and human nature - endlessly fascinating! Thanks for your comment :)
