Happy Saint Patrick's Day! The Glory of Green Green hues denote the healing of our earth, That special season of springtime’s rebirth. Green grasses growing o’er the hillside's face, Embracing greening trees in leafy lace. While amber fields engage in heaven’s kiss As raindrops splash into emerald bliss, I watch amazed as tender shoots abound With daffodils and tulips breaking ground. A floral scent begins to fill March air. St. Patty’s I’ll wear flowers in my hair. So many varied hues that can be seen, This Irish lass loves every shade of green! © Connie Marcum Wong Contest: Go Green Sponsor Poet Destroyer 3-16-2016

wish I could have seen a limerick from you, sweetie. I have five challenge poems here to work on this weekend. Wish me luck. Well, five that look interesting to me at least a little bit. I am almost caught up here. Netflix here I come.

Delightful read, Connie. On St. Patrick's Day we are all Irish. At least, it should be that way to my mind. Great heritage!

So sorry about Soup not working for you on kindle. I really hope they fix that soon and that you will be able to find a computer to use from time to time. I know it hurts your eyes to see a tiny phone screen. We MISS you, Connie. I am so happy you liked my Groundhog Day poem. It truly is one of the best comedies ever, and I know how much you love it too

I can no longer read comments or leave them or see poetry on my Kindle. I am borrowing my daughter's computer to post this. Thank you so much Charlie. I will miss you and all the others. I won't be around PS anymore unless PS fixes the ad problem. I used my Kindle just fine for years until they got ads which messes everything up. Sorry. Blessings, Connie

It goes so well with your red hair! I see you wrote this awhile back, but I'm so glad to see it NOW for its beauty is timeless. I loved all the imagery, especially today while it is snowing outside. March 21st last year was warm and this snow is against the Spring order I placed. Loved this. Hope your screen is back to normal, or better. Love you ... CayCay

How lovely Connie. You have been here before I remember you saying. I was in Dublin this year but it was bitterly cold for the parade.

Reposts such as this one are welcomed with open arms, Connie! I enjoyed reading it more than once, while that green picture compliments it so well. I just had to close my eyes and picture you all dressed in green, with flowers in your hair...you beat all those girls who once went to San Francisco:) Even in parts of Malta they celebrate St. Patrick's Day. You described it so well, I dont think many people celebrate it in England, just the Irish communities..

How sweet, Connie. The line that really struck me was "St. Patty’s I’ll wear flowers in my hair." As we still have snow up here, I am somewhat jealous. Line xx

Very good prose Connie. The best thing about Spring is that it comes when it's most needed.
