The Fox and the Hound

Scattered the scent relents covered up tracks from the dust of angelic trust filtered down in beads of pure essence illuminating a night stuffed away from the prey of a vicious hound Hidden away from a righteous rule intent to silence the willing few to comfort the fox over barren a broken box in spirit in spite of howls undiscovered in circles gone round Darkened in the den of attack fighting back claws capture release of another battled beast gentle strokes of a reddish fur exiting purrs into the precious hand dealt the chosen few

I can't pretend to know the meaning you intended, but I like your imagery and phraseology in this piece!

So many layers here. I can find in there a meaning you may not have intended, but is there nonetheless, a thing from my past, that hauntingly fits well here.

Dear Tim Good Evening. Wow. This is expressive. What ever the deep meaning, I as one reader can see true to life in this entry in some strange way and the last line of the chosen few is also true to life in a haunting way. Be proud of this entry. Well done

I loved your tale Tim...Oh I can visualize thef fox in hiding...The snow covering the track...and being set free...I am against any hunting..So I liked reading this..for the second time.
