The Day We Finally Met
Apprehension, tension, as I await in the arrival lounge
Pacing back and fore many feelings in I abound
I scan the arriving passengers to catch a glimpse of she
The girl who has won my heart, I long for my eyes to see
Passenger after passenger pass close to where I stand
As a figure in denim blue readies my heart to command
Towards me she now walks as I reciprocate with steps
Her beauty in my thoughts, from the previous night I slept
Our day has finally arrived as we stand face to face
The gentle of hello's sharing a kiss in this airport place
Many hugs follow after, our hands clenched in clasp
As we walk towards our tomorrows, our hearts in loving gasp
