8 quotes that perfectly capture why fall is our favourite season - Cottage Life

I snag my car keys and hit the road for a fall drive it is a nice day for leafpeeping windows down- the wind in my hair down winding roads passing towns where a garden of creeping lavender sways and golden aspens tremble the air holds a lovely flavour oh, I am immersed in fall's decay and a kaleidoscope of magic I pass a farm with a huge field of fading sunflowers and ancient maples with foliage red and orange guard birds are singing a fall rhapsody song from hidden trees and the scenery is beautiful- melancholy wild aster, phlox and queen anne's lace grow in ditches by the road with a fountain like grass as a cloud sails across the blue sky I see a house with autumn crocus fall dresses her trees in gold and red and the forest is a canopy of scented hued colors where wildflowers linger with the fallen leaves oh, thank you God above for fall and seasonal change _ ___________________ September 08, 2022 Poetry/Free Verse/Taking A Fall Drive Copyright Protected, ID 09-1486-119-08 All Rights Reserved, 2022, Constance La France Theme chosen- Taking a Fall drive Written for the Premiere contest, Fall Flavours sponsor, Regina McIntosh, Judged 10/23/2022 Fourth Place

Wow! Congrats! Thanks for sharing this... making me vicariously feel how is it to "take a fall drive" with delight since I live in an "Autumnless" country. God bless you.

Really beautiful Constance. I can feel the wind in my hair, smell the lingering wildflowers and see the blizzard of leaves. Was running some errands yesterday and the striking beauty of the season in full bloom really hit home with thunderous appreciation. Only our marvelous, whimsical God would think to turn a green leaf orange! And, while it is a season of "decay" that decay leaves us breathless in its hues of scarlet, orange, umber and ruby! Blessings to you. Congratulations!

Feel like joining you in your ride watching autumn leaves and beautiful flowers. You have created a heavenly atmosphere when birds are singing a fall rhapsody from hidden trees. I feel the wind playing on your tresses. Lovely composition dear Constance
