Swift Be Your Return -- Chris Green, Poetic Friend
A poet comes; a poet goes
There are many of us now
You know
Yet at times one leaves
And we all grieve
The loss of that
Only he can weave
Such a poet is Chris Green
As remarkable a poet
As ever I've seen
At dawn he awakens us to wonder
Be it glimpse of sun
Or peal of thunder
At night he tucks us in
With lines to soothe the soul
And soft slumber begin
Chris, you've been gone awhile again
Swift be your Return, O Poetic Friend!
