Summer Fling
putrid air
pressing down
hot and wet
heavy weight
on my head,
my shoulders
hard to breathe
muddled thoughts
stooped body,
stupid mind
dripping brow
stinging eyes
tasting salt
on my lips
dragging feet
slow to speak
languished heart
beating slow
awkward thoughts
start to grow
timid touch
on moist grass
swirling clouds
high above
dripping rain
gentle tears
through soft hair
on my face
rainbow smile
now aglow
