Stunning Spring

Jewelled flowers add such bling
on zephyr breeze they gently swing
Pretty pastel coloured bluebells ring
hark, you’ll hear them herald spring!
A flock of blackbirds sweetly sing 
as they catch flies upon the wing
Tiny lambs gambol with zest and zing
lush green grass, their soft plaything


HM in a contest in 2018

I was disappointed not to place higher than an HM , I worked hard with the imagery and the rhyme at the end of each line
