Quotes:
Loneliness is the poverty of self; solitude is the richness of self.
May Sarton
A poet is a nightingale, who sits in darkness and sings to cheer its own solitude with sweet sounds.
Percy Bysshe Shelley
Walking along the park sidewalk,
Sometimes hear the joy and cheer of playing kids,
But most of the time, I only hear the whispers of solitude,
Each echoing footstep, a lone goodbye.
I watch the sunlight peering through rustling leaves,
It seems as if the world is dancing, but I am just staring,
The cobblestones tell the tales of days gone by,
Each echoing footstep reminds me of someone waiting for me at the doorstep.
In the evening, the lamplight flickers casts a gentle glow,
On empty benches where I used to sit and dream with my lover,
A song from Breeze carries secrets from the distant past,
As silence weaves patterns with unseen hands.
The birds tweeting on trees, sing to me,
There is nothing like loneliness,
Sing your song, you will attract many as life goes along.
In solitude's arms, I find my peace,
A moment to breathe, at my own pace,
For in these streets where few dare to tread,
I gather my thoughts and see the divine liberation light.
