Still I Stand and Wonder
Still I stand and wonder
Chickadees are singing
on an early morning breeze
Tickling the branches
of the yawning maple trees
Morning glories open
as they wake to greet the sun
Rising in the east
a sign that night is finally done
Roosters say good morning
on a fence post as they crow
Pastels paint the heavens
in a wondrous dawning glow
Still I stand and wonder
at this beauty that I see
Knowing that my day won’t start
till you are here with me
Good morning Soupers
