Nice thing for hubby to do, helping the butterfly out of web. Lovely poem, Kim. The imagery was its usual excellence. We have lantanas across our front flower bed each year. Most people think of them as annual, but they are perennial in central and south Texas. Have a great week! Bill

We get lots of black and orange butterflies here. I like the yellow and black ones. I think that might be a swallowtail, but I don't see as many as when I was a kid.

Thanks for sharing the view. I just googled lantana's and found that's the plant that was in my childhood backyard Zillions of these miniature butterflies that we called buttercups fed on them.

So cool, David! My youngest daughter gifted this plant to me! It sits on my front porch! My husband thinks the butterfly was a monarch.

"things seen and unseen nevertheless God’s eyes see all" -- Wonderful! Perfect! Can't hide if we try -- though He often gracefully ignores...or I would be toast already.

Wow, what with the butterfly and flag waving - what a contrast, I noticed the different colors coming together. Beautiful poetry, Kim <3

I'm happy for the butterfly. May she complete her life journey. The last sentence captures the day's events. You write in beauty.
