damn, girl
how you spin my synapses like a sugar rush
the ways you look at me ...
like I'm a schoolboy, smitten with his teacher
who spent the weekend picking and arranging wildflowers
and just placed them on your desk ...
like you're the young Clara
and I'm the valiant and proud Nutcracker Prince
the Mouse King and his army, dispatched at my meet ...
like you're Audrey Hepburn
and I'm a lost kitten that you've saved from the rain
and tucked inside your coat ...
like I'm the genie, magical
that you've just rubbed from a lamp
and I must do ALL you ask of me, without question ...
like I'm the Phantom of the Opera
and you've finally realized
that every note of every song, was for your aspect ...
like I'm strawberry-caramel croissant pancakes
with whipped cream and white chocolate
and you haven't eaten in days ...
the ways you look at me ...
how you spin my synapses like a sugar rush
damn, girl.
