On zephyr breeze flowers gently swing
Bright golden daffodils bring great bling
As pale pastel coloured bluebells ring
Tiny lambs gambol with zest and zing
Lush green grass, their soft plaything
I hear a pair of blackbirds sweetly sing
These mating birds will do their thing
They’ll line their nest before mating
Collecting feathers and bits of string
To give a soft bed whilst mum’s nesting
A small blue speckled egg is soon hatching
The parents catch flies, chick feeds like a king!
I witness the first flight of the little fledgling
Oh how I love the season of stunning spring!
