"We must plant more trees to make rain We all need more fields to grow grain".This is indeed the need of the hour, but splurging money over space race and research is a sheer waste. Well thought out limerick, Rico

We have more trees than we need and we take what we can get weather wise but the space race is such a waste. That money could have been used on earth. love phyl

it always makes me sad to see a nature show depicting huge areas of trees being knocked down, ruining habitats for greedy reasons. well said, rico!

Farmland is more important to hungry people than shade, so the greedy encounter little difficulty in leading people astray. Trying to persuade Brazil to save trees is like trying to persuade them to try immunization . . .. money talks louder!

It is "we". How many Californians do you think turned off their air conditioner to save water over the weekend? How many planted a tree to shade the earth and make rain? The Mormons planned to make the desert, "blossom as a rose" which requires water despite Great Salt Lake evaporation. So the quest to profitably "develop" will continue in outer space as "restoring" the land on earth is expensive, time consuming, and not exciting.

Native American reservations are monuments to American greed as government authorizes the mining of natural resources, the miners claim they did not earn enough profit to restore the land, the land becomes a chemical wasteland, so the quest "to develop" more land continues ....
