Soft, pretty kitty
Both gentle and tranquil
Soothes the heart who gives it
A chance to show its true worth
Soft, pretty kitty
Beckoning to the heart
With graceful paws and purrs
Willing to give back to this world
Soft, pretty kitty
An inspiration and friend
One who gives so much love
Tender and warm, my heart won
Soft, pretty kitty
Senses my feelings
And listens to all my ideas
Whispers to me of dreams and peace
Soft, pretty kitty
Halloween is so near
How will you fare with the goblins?
You’re aware black cats bring bad luck
Soft, pretty kitty
I’m glad you’re to preen
Fur of silky gray instead of ebony
Which could send you to alert the witches
Soft, pretty kitty
As Halloween approaches
Know that I will protect you
From the children who wish to pet you
Soft, pretty kitty
With thoughts of joy
I give you my hope for today
Appreciation for your gentle nature
Soft, pretty kitty
Make way for the season
Curl up in your place by the fire
And give me the chance to sit by you
