It has disappeared. We have power brownouts even yesterday -- New Years, in South Africa. It drops cell connections ... Too often. Belated seasons greetings & blessings through "human dedication to being human" -- Ubuntu! Shalom shalom Friend

Michelle, as you know, I have to drive many miles and ascend several thousand feet in altitude to see snow, so I enjoy it vicariously through the eyes and words of my poetic friends. Love this little gem of a white December haiku, I especially enjoy the word translucent. Happy New Year, my dear friend ~ John

I love the poetic image, Michelle -- all the more so as Chicago's December snow disappeared today, thanks to a post-Christmas gift-wrapped 'heat wave.' (Upper 40's with a warm, south wind).

It was about the same here in Portland, after a deep cold snap right before Christmas (one day the high was only in the twenties!)
