Simple Flowers

My heart keeps asking what you meant When without much fanfare you said You don't like the fancy bouquet Born of our prosperous days, For you still love those simple flowers I used to give you when we were poor. I don't know how to tell you my dear Flowers too have evolved over the years, And this may be a good time to assure you The vase so genuine, has never wavered. Enjoyed this metaphoric writing. The simple things given with sincerity are more relished than the costly gifts given as a custom. The simple wayside blooms may sometimes excite us more than the well nurtured garden beauties. Very profound, dear Vijay !

The simplicity of a few wildflowers can be golden if offered with love. I enjoyed the metaphors and agree, whether rich or poor, wild flowers or expensive roses, it is the thought and sentiment behind them that counts the most. This is beautifully written Vijay! : )
