She Is In Control of Herself Now
The world is grand she thought.
The sun has never felt this pretty.
She has a wholesomeness that makes me glad.
She danced a bit.
Celebrating her talents, her skills, herself.
Glad she remembers the life she once had.
Regaining bits of it one sliver at a time.
She smiled and threw her arms out. The flowers laughed.
She had gotten away, untangled the clutches of feelings that held her.
Bound to someone who only wanted to squelch her light.
She could now laugh and sing and dance without an angry face glaring.
The only one who controlled her now was herself!
