Rispetto For a Friend In Need

RISPETTO FOR A FRIEND IN NEED There are lost souls who are tortured by mem’ry And those who can never escape and are gripped By sin-cell-conscience, a guilt-filled library Where volumes of black records are never snipped. Forgiveness is given by God, but the first Longing for break-out comes from their own great thirst For justice and freedom and inner mind-peace Where the dreams and nightmares and torture all cease. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………… Written for Dr. Ram’s RISPETTO contest Chosen rhyme scheme : ababccdd

If we could only learn to forgive ourselves as our Creator does, Syd, the guilt-filled libraries would vanish. I hope I can achieve this goal so the nightmares end. A deep and moving rispetto for Dr. Ram's contest, my friend. It's surely a winner. Love, Carolyn
