i heard of this, it must've been a spectacular sight...good tetractys here with effective alliteration, i would think a strong contender - good luck in the contest :)

Have you ever read The Yellow River written by I.P. Nightly? I was not aware of the natural phenomenon that turned the water scarlet. Great poem as it also teaches as well as entertains.

This happens here also. I saw it only once when I was in my teens. A favorite clamming area had to be closed off. I am split in my sentiments for the queen of England, though I lean more to her dedication more than anything. Hope my British Soupers do not take offense. ...I told the angels painting the sunset to be careful not to spill any......I read about this and the pictures you posted make the poem come alive.
