Listen to poem:
I breathe in your out breath exhalations spare from death mouth to mouth resuscitation my existence just a fabrication drumming on the optic nerve become part visceral part verve with electrical impulses sparking hand on heart as it's restarting rebreathing hours they are numbered time elapses become encumbered stop when world begins to spin I regenerate as I breathe you in

What a beautiful descriptive piece of poetry Dilly, capturing the very essence of Canova’s masterpiece, I’m sure in real life all our psyches can be revived by Cupid’s kiss, no flatlining here although perhaps a heart may skip a beat, cheers David

Dear DD, Your poem on Canova’s sculpture is breathtakingly evocative, creating themes of life, death, and renewal into a mesmerizing mix of words. The imagery of breath and resuscitation beautifully captures the essence of the sculpture’s narrative. Your poetic prowess transports the reader into a realm where the boundaries between art and life blur. Very insightful poem! - Blessings, Daniel
