Eternal Bonds Apricity sustains us through the cold As our aging bones recall days of youth, Where sweet treasures of the heart still unfold A mode of love that deepens with the truth That like a long lived tree whose roots run deep Our years together strengthen our resolve To weather storms together as we keep Our bond of love continues to evolve. Beauty reigns in eyes of the beholder. Though years have changed our physicality, Our pace is slower as we've grown older, Yet in youth we remain, eternally. Your aura shines so much brighter with mine Because we have a love that is divine. December 25, 2017 Sonnet's Salutation Poetry Contest Sponsored by: William Kekaula

Connie, what a treasure! A work of art and an inspiration to stay committed to your love into the sunset of life. Especially poignant now in light of your recent sadness. I'm brushing back a tear. I love the lines "A mode of love that deepens with the truth" and "Our bond of love continues to evolve". These are nuggets of truth to hold on to. Your word "apricity" was a revelation to me, and one I am adding to my list of words to use more often. Love your poetry and your heart, a FAVE! ~ John

Thank you my dear friend. You always understand my poetry on a deep level and express the feelings I want to reveal. I appreciate your insightful comments always. Thank you for the fave. It means a lot to me. I'm having computer problems right now and for some reason at this site my computer moves like a turtle. It is very frustrating. I can't make nearly as many comments as I would like. blessings, Connie

That is what my husband promised me, that we would grow old together. We were laughing about our aches and pains the other day and he said well, I guess we grew old together! Thank you Frederic! : )

A word I didn't know (so rarely), Apricity, and perfectly used, your words ring of devotion and faith. Its grand that love endures and ever finds new ways of expressing itself. As does your poetry. Ever more expressive and sublime. Congratulations.

The picture is a poem, is it not? Love it. And the poem, Connie, is most lovely, so romantic with a touch of sad, but that may have been self induced because I FEEL the age factor motivating the pen and it is bittersweet to me. Love was delivered here, beautifully so and we need more emphasize on love never aging! Your poem is truly moving and gives my aging heart hope! Love you ... CayCay
