~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I ponder
all the vastness of the sky
what am I but a speck?
what shall happen
when I die?
death seems so unreal
like it’s too many
heartbeats away
there are too many mountains still to climb
so upon life’s craggy rocks I stay
the sun shines down
upon my face
like existence knows my name
the wind and sky and
now nighttime stars
put my mortal ponderings to shame
